Midnattsoltreffet - The Arctic Fremomeeting

Salten Modelrailway Club are happy to invite to the most northern fremomeeting in the world, north of the polar circle and at the gate to the famous Lofoten Islands.

The meeting is situated only 5-10 minutes walk from most of Bodø's hotels.

Join Our meeting on Your trip to Northcape, Europes northest mainland point, or take a wonderful trip on the Nordlandsbanen, the railway between Trondheim and Bodø, that also is our main theme!

Theme

This years meeting will be the NSB Nordlandsbanen (Norwegian State Railways, Northlandsline) around 1975-1985 as it theme. This is the NoHAB diesel (Di3) real habitat. Our clubs main atraction, the model of Bodø Station, will off course be a part of the layout. The mainline is not electrified so only diesel or museumsteam will be "accepted". A electrified sideline can be possible, and is prototypical as the industrial sideline at Mo i Rana were electrified at that time (now closed and demolished).
