Midnatsoltreffet Bodø 2020 / Midnight sun meeting Bodö 2020

Salten MJK has the pleasure to invite

to a FREMO-meeting in Bodö, Norway in June 2018.

The venue is at the Bankgata Flerbrukshall in the town center of Bodø.

For this meeting we are planning a Scandinavian/Northern European modular layout in H0/RE, with focus on Norway, But any modules are welcome.

For this, we hope that our friends with interest for Norwegian and Scandinavian Railways will join us.

Thema

The theme will be The Northland Line which goes from Trondheim to Bodø.

The layout will focus on the 70´s and 80´s.

We will be using diesel locomotives, specially the NoHAB Diesel Di3 that was the main locomotive at the line between 1960-2000.

Modules should ideally be in a finished state, and locomotives and wagons shall have wheels with a “Back to Back measurement of 14,5 mm" wheels are a preference with this measures. Couplings shall be NEM (Fleischmann) or OBK.

There will be a common opportunity to transport the modules from southern Norway with help of Toten Transport AS.

Thursday start with assembling the layout and we would encourage the module owners to arrive as early as possible.

Hopefully we will have the layout up and running at early Thursday evening.

Friday morning starts at 9.00 with a short presentation of the layout, timetable and some practical information, after which we start the first session.

Saturday starts at 9.00 and will continue until about 19:00.

Sunday starts at 9:00 and continue until 14.00 when we will have a short de-briefing before we start dismantling the layout.
