Friday and Saturday June 15th and 16th the 2nd official italian FREMO N meeting took place. This time we had to rent a large room in the Sport Palace provided by the Oleggio (NO) town.
Several new modules allowed the installment to reach 30 meters in length, here is a short description:
- Farnese, the traverser representing the interchange with the "rest of the world";
- A main line with Poggionovo and Gualtieri stations as well as Vetrerie Vignola and Darsena Nuova industrial spurs.
- Finale, the terminus station from where a branch line goes through Valle Lomellina and its agricultural spurs ending with a paper mill small yard.

On friday we installed and tested all the modules, while on saturday a 4+ hours operating session took place. The news of this session was the communication between a dispatcher and stations or industries along the line. This was made possible by giving every crew a portable radio set to be used only when stopped at a station or industry spur, like if it was a telephone along the line.
Besides using a graphic timetable and a car cards & waybills car forwarding system, traffic was controlled by a single person (actually two guys covered the role in two shifts) and, like the prototype, he couldn't see the layout because he was sitting in a different room.
