First 00Fremo meeting in Potsdam Bornim (August 23rd to 25th 2013)

The first 00Fremo meeting took place in August 2013 in Potsdam near Berlin at a Fremo meeting predominated by Deutsche Reichsbahn modellers. We followed a scenario of a fictional eastern outer railway ring around London which partly belonged to the Eastern and the Southern Region. Through Express trains from the London Midland Region were also seen.

Although the whole layout was just about 20 metres in length, there was an intensive timetable due to the great portion of double track lines. At first we started with early 50s rolling stock but each session saw more steamers replaced by diesels so we finally got to the early 60s.

Second 00Fremo meeting in Rendsburg (May 1st to 4th 2014)

On the annual meeting 2014 00Fremo was well representated. Our layout was Western Region between 1962 and 1964 this time. It has grown to just 50 metres in length and for the first time featured a short goods branch line. There has been prototypical Token working to prevent collisions on the single line section. Furthermore there even was a lorry which had an own timetable additionally to the trains.

Third 00Fremo meeting in Elstal (October 10th to November 2nd 2014)

The third 00Fremo meeting took place in Oct/Nov 2014 in Elstal near Berlin and has been the first independent module meeting so far. The main theme were DMUs without a restriction to an Era or Region. Hence the look of the fleet was assorted. Focus was on passenger traffic this time. The meeting was used to test out new never run stock too.

Sorry, there haven't been any photos taken at the venue.

Fourth 00Fremo meeting in Elstal (June 18th to 21st 2015)

The 4th 00Fremo meeting was destined for being mostly a freight meeting. The theme was BR Eastern Region in the 50s. New for us have been the new wagon cards as well as the Kadee coupling which has been used at a meeting for the first time. Both has proven it's value instantly.

The layout was composed from a mostly double track main line which went in a U shape through the hall. A branch line diverged aproximately in the middle and went through the door and two adjacent rooms back to the main hall. En route there was a coal harbour and a siding called Abingdon. The branch line split into two termini afterwards – the goods spur terminiated at a Furniture Manufactory meanwhile the passenger spur went to Suffridge via Plankwell and Ballykillen Junction. The latter has had freight trains too through trip workings.

Trains coming from Fiddlington heading for the branch line had to reverse in Halt respectively Newport. Because there was only a single crossover a second loco had to be provided there. This extra loco also had passenger duties (Mixed Traffic loco).

7. 00Fremo-Treffen in Rodgau 2024
