  1. Each freight waggon/car comes along with a card in panel format 46 x 70 mm ...
  2. ... with at least this data at the front face:
    • UIC type
    • Category with secondary category
    • Railway company
    • Car number without checking number
    • Characteristics
    • Utilisation time (optional)
  3. ... with at least this data at the backside:
    • Permitted maximum of speed.
    • Length over buffers
    • Loading length
    • Cargo area
    • Storage space
    • Maximum weight
    • Owner
  4. ...with a transparent slot on the backside, which can keep a "way bill" of the size of the card.

Recommendations

  1. Freights should not be fixed on the cars, so that it can be loaded and unloaded as the original.

Car Cards

For freight waggons the following car card schemes have been defined.

Some N-RE-teams use plain white cards because they are easier to produce and better readable.
